As an explanation, this is one of 180 Motorsport Editions built by BMW as a last of the line 635csi cars: one of only 60 built in Misano Red. According to a 2012 report from the BMW Car Club of Great Britain, this car is certainly the best of its kind seen within the last 15 years.
Subject of a nut and bolt rebuild by a retired and talented aircraft engineer the car has a few minor modifications and improvements, such as the period Alpina wheels, although all parts have been retained and are reversible for the purist.
Unrepeatable, certainly without significant knowledge and thousands of hours of restorative work, this very special car is now available for the serious BMW collector, or stylish bahnstormer.
